A B2C booking application came to us certain that a three-tier price table was suppressing trial starts. Aggregate charts showed exits near that screen, which made the theory feel solid.
Session samples told a narrower story. Many visitors opened the price table, scrolled past it, then spent long pauses on a permissions explanation that used internal jargon. Several returned to the marketing site’s FAQ in a new tab before abandoning.
The team rewrote the permissions section first. Trial starts moved more in the following weeks than after earlier price experiments. The reservation from their product lead still stands: the first week of the audit felt slow while access and event definitions were cleaned up—but that cleanup prevented comparing incompatible periods later.
